7 Proven Content Strategies to get More TikTok Followers

Know Your Potential Audience

The majority of TikTok users are Gen-Z and a few millennials. But knowing your audience is far more than that.

You need to identify your target audience’s location, demographics, and niche. It is the absolute basic strategy that helps you get others right.

Knowing your audience also includes knowing what they like to watch or what could appeal to them. These will assist you in making content that directly speaks to your audience or solves their problems.

In turn, this brings more quality followers and also establishes some real connections.

Post Quality Content

Your audience mostly has accounts they follow that produce videos they like. Answering their questions or posting content on related topics will go a long way in getting them interested in your videos.

For instance, if your focus audience is in the health niche, you could post informative or educational content that helps solve a particular health issue. A typical example is this Doctor Julie Smith’s video on signs of burnout.

Other times, it could be a skit or dancing video. It could be a video that shows the negligence of a particular habit detrimental to one’s health. An example is the Embody Health London videos.

When trying to get more TikTok followers, many users mistake using trendy generic hashtags. Unfortunately, these often get your video lost in the pool of videos.

It is always better to use niche hashtags that promote the content of your videos. This act gets your video to those that need it and appreciate it. It also brings more relevant followers.

One, it helps you engage your current followers. Second, as you post new videos regularly, your video gets in front of a new audience who are potential followers.

Therefore, create a schedule, maybe daily, twice a week, or as you like. It even makes users anticipate your videos. But, not posting makes you lose followers.

Respond to Comments made on Your Content

Responding to comments made on your video is vital. It promotes your video engagement and indirectly makes TikTok rank your video more. With this, your video gets in front of more viewers, and thus, you get more Tiktok followers.

The response should be meaningful. In cases of hate statements, you can ignore them.

Perform Duets

You will surely get more TikTok followers when you team up with other users in your niche or complementary niches to make quality videos.
